Orange Chicken!!

I made this orange chicken in the Crock Pot for supper tonight:

I found the recipe here

It turned out pretty good, but I was only making half a batch, and things get dry and cook fast in my crock pot, especially when it's not very full. It still tasted good though. I decided it may be easier to just cook it on the stove though...I had to cook the meat before putting it in the Crock Pot, which is the part I don't like to do. Right now, I'm also working on some counted cross-stitches to put in frames in my kitchen. There are going to be several....I haven't figured out how many I need yet, but here are some I've made. They're not finished yet though.

I'm also trying to make a recipe for macaroni salad that is perfect. I love macaroni salad and could eat it every day, but I can't find a recipe that I like anywhere!!!!

My first Post!

This post is pretty unexciting, as probably most of the stuff I will put on here will be, but I'm just testing it out. This is what I made for supper last night. My sister gave me the recipe a long time ago, and it's so good!! I like to call it Oriental Chicken Coleslaw:

Here's the recipe:
Oriental Chicken Coleslaw
2 T butter or margarine
1 pkg. Oriental Ramen
2 T sesame seed
1/4 c sugar
1/4 white vinegar
1 T sesame or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp pepper
2 c cut up cooked chicken
1/4 c dry roasted peanuts, if desired (I added some sunflower seeds)
4 med. green onions, sliced
1 16 oz. bag coleslaw mix
1 11 oz can mandarin oranges, drained

In a small skillet, melt butter. stir in the seasoning packet from the Ramen. Break apart the noodles into little pieces into the skillet. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occassionally. Stir in the sesame seeds. Cook about 2 min. longer until noodles are golden brown. Remove from heat. In seperate bowl, mix sugar, oil, vinegar, and pepper. In the serving bowl, combine chicken, peanuts, green onions, coleslaw mix, and oranges. Add Ramen mixture and vinegar mixture and stir. Serve Immediately.

I usually make a 1/4 recipe because I'm the only eating it. It's really easy, and so good!!
